The family insists once again that 15 hits have been recorded to Sifis Valyrakis, most of them on the head, face and neck, which have been caused by different organs and resulted to his death.
His own people are convinced that the historical PASOK executive is a victim of murder and stress that these strikes may be compatible with a propeller as shown by the investigation, but “does not mean that they have necessarily been caused by it”. They claim that based on the findings “the case of his deliberate fall into the sea and the capsizing of the boat due to sea turbulence or other cause is excluded” with the reports of the experts “almost exclude any approach of the body with the propeller of his own boat”.
The family lawyers Manolis Fotakis and Costas Papadakis clarify in every direction that the case file for the death of Sifis Valyrakis has not been included in the file, as there are a lot of findings from which it appears that his death was a premeditated homicide and the case is pending their recent appeal.
At the same time, eyewitness testimonies remain at the disposal of the authorities, according to which the occupants of the fishing boat got into an argument with the former minister and one of them hit him on the head with a stick until he fell into the sea.
