He argued that before the fatal evening had come out with his inflatable boat to the harbor after fishing with his friend and his child.
They returned around nine and his friend took his son to their house, in order to return.
Then he saw someone get in the boat next to his.
“At first I thought he was a relative of the owner, then I realized he was going to steal it. Two years ago robberies with Kalashnikovs came in Alonissos, you cannot know how someone could react. I did not Know if he had a gun. The guy fell into the sea, and I had to call the Port Authority and the owner of the boat, “he said.
Around ten, his friend returned at the harbor, approached the boat and asked George what he was doing there.
“He then fell into the sea and I returned back. When was asked by the journalist how his friend pushed George when he approached the inflatable boat he replied:
“I did not see. He was in the stern, I was in the middle of the boat. I do not think he touched him. He pulled his bag because it was caught on the boat. After that George took his bag and left. He disappeared. I would not go so far. He was better swimmer than me. ”
He claimed that when the bag of George incurred because it was wetted, he left it and took off his clothes which were found the next day.
“We got into trouble without having done anything. What his girlfriend did? He said that he would go for a walk. And With his bag . Where are you going; Don’t you follow him ? You have to do something.. They knew he was having problems. I think he left Alonissos the next morning and he is fine … “.

Another important witness claimed that at one o’clock in the morning voices were heard, a few hours after the disappearance of the young man from Thessaloniki, from a cave near the harbor of Votsi.
Dimitris Papavasileiou clarified that the voices were heard from the side of the cliff or the cave right of the harbor of Votsi.
He does not exclude the fact that men’s voices were heard from the sea. As they did not know about the incident, in order to reach and illuminate the spot. Nobody informed them, neither the Port Authority.
