DNA tests performed revealed that the body, which was found on Tuesday, April 28, belonged to the then missing Dimitris Antoniou, 28, from Paphos.
From the first examinations, it was found that the body has abrasions, possibly due to the spot where it was found.
His traces were lost a month and a half ago, on Thursday, March 19, from his cottage where he lived alone in the village of Lysos.
The father of the unfortunate young man, Kyriakos Antoniou, who had addressed “Tunnel”, was hoping for a miracle, but the DNA “shattered” the family’s hopes.
