After two adjournments requested and received by the investigator of the Kyparissia Court of First Instance, the 39-year-old Romanian apologized on Tuesday, October 5th, for the premeditated murder charge he faces, against his 42-year-old ex-partner, Monica Gius, who had disappeared in February and was found “cemented” in the yard of the house where they lived, in the Upper town of Kyparissia, on September 1st.
Her Romanian partner again claimed that she had nothing to do with her murder and referred to her intercourse with other people, especially from January 2021 onwards, however, his allegations were not believed by Justice.
The accused considers the witnesses who testified against him unreliable and that they are possessed by him for him, such as for example the partner of his first wife who, as he claimed, died of a medical error.
He also clarified that he had fights with the victim but claimed that he did not kill her. The lawyer of Mr. Vassilis Noulezas noted that the investigations in this case are wrongly directed only against his client as he is not connected with the crime except for the fact that the woman was found buried in the yard of his house where there was a burglary, as he claimed and denied. that he was an abusive partner.
In addition, Mr. Noulezas stated that all the evidence against him had been leaked by the ex-husband of the victim who was abusing her.
It is noted that earlier in the day, the 39-year-old defendant was in the courts of Kalamata, where he was postponed by the Three-Member Misdemeanor Court of Appeal, in a trial where he was sentenced at first instance to 12 months suspended imprisonment, for an incident of domestic violence. against him, Monica Gius for the abuse of her child by the accused and then taken to the Investigator for his apology for the murder charge.
