After a thorough investigation, a 35-year-old blonde Greek woman was interrogated at the Athens Security Sub-Directorate on Thursday morning, who is being investigated as the perpetrator of the attack with caustic liquid against 34-year-old Ioanna at the entrance of the company’s offices in Kallithea.
Authorities appear to have tracked down the woman, who is an employee, at a nearby law firm with the offices of the company from where Ioanna worked.
From the combination of the information in their possession, testimonies from the victim’s friendly environment, the call from the prepaid phone, the taxi route after the attack and the analysis of telephone records from the second scan recently requested by the police investigating the case, gradually reached the traces of the main suspect, after all the cases that had initially gathered the interest of the Authorities from more recent events in her life were excluded.
The Security had the information and proceeded to bring and examine the specific suspect who has been interrogated since the morning, while in the house search that followed in Zografou. Evidence related to the case was confiscated, such as a wig, phone card and clothing.
The reason seems to have been an online contact between the victim and a man in the past, which the suspect seems to have been claiming. In addition, it seems that there have been some messages about the incident and the perpetrator’s anger lasted for at least a year. The research remains in full investigation and new developments are expected in the coming hours.
