To a missing person from Larissa belongs the remains

Replies to the bone-thriller at the Gurtonis Dam outside of Larissa provided by DNA testing.

He is Dimitris Batsilas, 48 years old, who had disappeared from his family home in Larissa on the night of Friday, March 9, 2018.

He was a patient at the “Agia Fotini” clinic in Larissa, but had visited his own people for the weekend.

The label with a man’s surname written on his form did not match with him or anyone else’s missing.

However, until the DNA identification results were obtained, the authorities checked whether the person wearing the uniform came from a priory, such as a prison or clinic, where the owners’ surnames are usually written on the clothes and possibly given him to wear the somebody else’s form.

Early forensic evaluation ruled out the possibility that the bones belonged to a woman, and therefore likely from the surrounding area, due to the volume of bones referring to a tall man such as Dimitris Batsilas and the number of the form also belonged to a fat man, such as the missing person.

Examining the existing bones shows no evidence of criminal activity. For the case of Dimitris Batsila Silver Alert was also activated at the time of his disappearance.
