The suspicions of the authorities from the first moment led to the disappearance case, of 52 year old Panagiotis Gkiokas who was lost in the same area. “Light at the Tunnel” and Silver Alert were shouting for him.
These suspicions were unfortunately confirmed since the genetic sample of his relatives was completely identified with the DNA received by the Authorities from the remains of the unfortunate man.
On Sunday, December 2, 2018, a hunter who was found in Lagadia, Gortynia, Arcadia, spotted a human skull, spine and limbs in a very mountainous and inaccessible spot. There were found clothes that were difficult to be recognized as they were in bad condition.
Personal documents were not found at the spot and the findings were transferred to the Forensic of Peloponnese Department for anthropological examination and DNA testing and no evidence of any criminal action was found.
