According to information, “Spartak” as he is known, surrendered at the border station of Kakavia half an hour after two in the morning on Tuesday, November 1 and signed a statement in which he expressed his wish to be “surrendered and tried by the Greek authorities” . Because the international warrant had not yet been issued, the Albanian police located him in an apartment in Avlona and took him to the border.
The warrant was issued as soon as the results from the Forensic Laboratories were delivered late last night, with the samples taken from the car of one girl and the clothes of the other and identified with the genetic material collected from the house where the 45-year-old lived with her his mother, in P. Faliro.
The alleged rapist was transferred to Athens and is being held in GADA, for the execution of the warrant issued today against him for the rape of the 34-year-old girl, in Agia Skepi, for the weapons law and for the kidnapping and attempted rape against the young woman of a woman who preceded her on Agia Triados Street in P. Faliro on October 23.
The police investigating the case have already made a request to the prosecuting authorities for the issuance of a relevant order for the publication of the details of the perpetrator and his photograph. Officially, no other complaints have been made to the authorities about him, however it is estimated that he is likely to be involved in any other similar cases.
The witness who revealed the rapist in the “Tunnel”
During the October 28 live show, a witness asked to speak with Angeliki Nikolouli and revealed everything she knew about the dangerous man with the tattoo.
The witness did not know about his attacks and saw the details in “Tunnel”. The authorities were informed and it became known that the person mentioned by the witness who contacted the show is the rapist that they themselves had managed to identify from the investigation.

The announcement of the Minister of Citizen Protection
The announcement of his arrest was made by the Minister of Citizen Protection Takis Theodorikakos himself, with a related post on Twitter.
“After a methodical investigation and the identification of the perpetrator and with excellent cooperation with the Albanian security authorities, the alleged perpetrator of the rape of the woman in Paleo Faliro is in the hands of the Greek Police. He will be brought to Greek justice for his cowardly, inhumane and criminal behavior,” the minister wrote.
On Thursday, October 27, when it became possible to identify him by the Police, the perpetrator fled the country and crossed the border, seeking refuge in Albania and with his relatives, as his mother reported to the “Tunnel”.
The profile of the perpetrator and the attacks
The arrested person was not wanted in Greece. In Albania, however, he had engaged the authorities for illegal actions, including violations of the law on weapons, theft and more.
He was divorced, father of two children who live in Albania, alcoholic and lived with his mother P. Faliro. As she told the Tunnel, he was abusive towards her and took her money from her job, since he was unemployed.
In the first case, of the attempted rape, the 24-year-old girl had just stopped early in the morning of Sunday, October 23, with her car for a temporary stop due to the traffic light, at the junction of Agia Triada and Amphithea streets.
Then the perpetrator opened the door and broke into the car. He grabbed the victim by the throat and at knifepoint, forced her to turn right and drive about five minutes through narrow streets with the intention of driving her to a deserted plot of land.
In L. Amphitheas, the girl, passing by a cafe, noticed that there were people, stopped there and started to honk and shout.
Then the perpetrator got scared, opened the door and ran away. They called the police from the cafeteria.
About an hour later, at four in the morning on Sunday, the assailant attacked the 34-year-old while she was waiting alone for the bus at the “Agia Skepi” stop, on Posidonos Street. He attacked and immobilized her at knifepoint and in the same manner led her to the adjacent park near the church, where he raped her.
After his sickening actions, the 45-year-old taunted the victim, asking her if she wanted to be his girlfriend. He again drove her at knifepoint to the bus stop, hugged her, asked for her phone number and then threatened her not to press charges because he would kill her.
The unfortunate woman, who was in a miserable psychological state, called the Immediate Action, where she asked for advice and then preferred to go alone to the P. Faliros Security Department, where she reported the events and a forensic examination was carried out.
Neighbors in the area where he lived reported that a few months ago he had behaved violently and abused a girl who had gone to his house, complaints which are also under investigation, since no official complaint was made to the Police.
