According to the DNA examination, the body that was found on New Year’s Day in the area of Agrileza, Sounio, belongs to 67-year-old Panagiotis Bossos.
A walker found him in a crowded area near the Dianthos outpost. The unfortunate man had disappeared under mysterious circumstances on Sunday, November 15, from Vrilissia, where he was living alone. According to the medical examiner of the University of Athens who performed the necropsy – autopsy, the cause of death remains unclear due to advanced decay.
The results of the toxicological tests are expected. Death coincides with its disappearance. Initially, the case was investigated by the Security Department of Vrilissia, but after serious information emerged, it was taken over by officers of the Security of Northeastern Attica.
It remains unknown why Panagiotis Bossos was located so far from the area where he disappeared. The possibility of criminal action is also being investigated, with a possible financial motive.
