
Laertis Beyai, 36 years old, was identified as an unidentified corpse found in an advanced rot on a rocky beach in Andros almost three months after his disappearance. Then the Port Authority of the island started the process for the identification of the body that lasted 14 months!
An anthropological examination was initially performed, which showed the sex of the unknown corpse. Despite the fact that the disappearance had been announced and there was publicity from the “Tunnel”, the authorities moved slowly to obtain DNA from the father of the unfortunate young man.
But what happened to the 36-year-old, man?
According to the information of “Tunnel”, Laertis in the early hours of April 10, 2019, when he disappeared, boarded the ship that was operating the route Rafina – Mykonos. Between Tinos and Andros the unfortunate young man fell into the sea under unknown circumstances.
The necropsy – autopsy on the body, showed no evidence of criminal activity.
“Laertes had no reason to end his life. We know what kind of character he was,” Laertes’ sister, Maria Beyayi, expressed to “Tunnel”. “He had planned to travel to Mykonos a week later. He would not have left earlier without telling us and without his personal documents,” she said, adding that his family want to know the truth.
