
Athanasios Karagiannis, 90, who suffered from dementia, was found dead on Wednesday, June 4, in the area of Kalochori. He was in advanced decomposition, coinciding with the time of his disappearance.
There are no findings of any criminal activity, as his body did not suffer any injuries, as it emerged from the autopsy-necropsy performed at the Forensic Medicine Service of Thessaloniki.
The retired accountant had disappeared since Easter Monday afternoon, April 20, from the house where he lived alone in the area of Neapoli, Thessaloniki. Neighbors and a shopkeeper in the area had seen him then.
OFKATH had also taken part in the search for him.
Silver Alert had been signaled for his disappearance.
