He was found dead by a shepherd of the area on a mountain near his village.
84-year-old Dimitris Markakis was lost on the morning of Tuesday 17 September in his village, Astyraki Maleviziou.
A large operation of the 3rd EMAK, ELAS, volunteers and locals had been set up to locate him.
The 84-year-old had left the house of a fellow villager to go to his own, and since then his traces had been lost.
Silver alert had been issued for his disappearance.
