The reason was the resignation of Nikolai counsel, who allegedly murdered the four-year girl with her father.
In front of the Mixed Jury Court of Athens his lawyer Yianna Panagopoulou, stated: After my meeting with my client, we decided together to quite from the defense of Nikolai Achmentov.
The court proceeded to the ex officio appointment of a new lawyer for the accused who initially said he did not wish to be represented. The court appointed a new lawyer from the list, who accepted his nomination.
Achmentov said he accepts the lawyer for this meeting, but will appoint its own in the next. That caused the explosion of the President of the headquarters who said: This is not a game. This a trial. You cannot change opinion every two minutes.
The trial will be continued on Friday 23 September, so that the new counsel of Achmentov study the file.
