The trial for Marianna Kondoulis’s case has been postponed – the sixth in a row – causing the outbreak of relatives of the elderly.
According to “Tunnel”‘s information, the defendants’ side demanded postponement due to a health problem of one of the defense advocates.
One of the six defendants was unable to reach the courtroom because, as he claimed through his lawyer, he had been ruled out by heavy snow in Arahova where he lives.
Speaking to “Tunnel”, Marianna Kontouli’s, Eleni said: “We have been tired for so many years. Defendants are concealed of obstacles to make continuous postponements. The trial must finally begin so that we learn what happened to our relative. “
A new trial was set on Monday 26th of February 2018.
Marianna Kontoulis mysteriously disappeared at the age of 70 15 years ago from Amaliapolis, Magnesia, where she stayed. Her property is reportedly gone, with forgery in possession of other accused persons.
The six face charges of felony, forgery, fraud and embezzlement against the Greek State.
