The Romanian partner of Monica Gius, who was found buried in the yard of the house where they lived in Kyparissia, was found dead at noon on Sunday, December 12, in his cell, in Nafplio Prison, where he had been remanded in custody.
From the investigation of the Authorities so far, it appears that it is suicide. He was found hanged with an improvised sheet loop in the toilet of his cell.
At the time of the incident, his detainees were not in the cell as they were in the work they have undertaken in the Prisons.
He had reportedly not expressed such intentions to his inmates or to anyone else inside the Prison.
