Histological examinations, according to coroner Nikos Kifnidis, showed that the fractured bone that he had found at the time of the death was posthumous.
According to the coroner, her death was due to drowning and pathological causes. Water was found in her stomach and her heart was swollen with several recent and older ischemic findings.
His report is due to be completed shortly and forwarded to the competent police authority conducting the preliminary investigation.
The unfortunate mother had disappeared in the early hours of Thursday, June 6, under mysterious circumstances, wearing her nightgown from her home in the village of Fotolivos.
Ten days later, she was found dead, but no forensic doctor went to the place. The autopsy was performed by the forensic expert Nikos Kifnidis at the competent department of Komotini.
