The murder of the electrician and father of a young child, George Grigoriadis, 42, who had mysteriously disappeared from Ofriniou Beach in Kavala and was found murdered and thrown into an irrigation canal on Wednesday, December 16, in the area of Efkarpia, has been solved.
After testimonies and in combination with video material that placed two suspects outside the victim’s vehicle, they were located and brought yesterday to the Serres Security, which is investigating the case. He is a 47-year-old man and his mother, Greeks, originally from Georgia, from Ofryni Beach.
After an overnight interrogation and after the perpetrator initially denied any involvement in the crime, he finally confessed and described his actions. At noon on Friday, December 11, while the victim was working in a house in the area, making repairs, in front of the perpetrator’s house, the second saw him, went down the street and got into a fight, as they had personal differences from the past.
When the victim tried to leave and turned his back, the perpetrator attacked him and managed to hit him fatally with a small digging tool. Neighbors testified that they saw them fighting, but without seeing what happened later.
Then, with the cover of his mother who was informed, he loaded the victim in his own car and transported him alone to the area where he was found dead, where he threw him. Two kilometers away from his body, was found abandoned in the mud and the car he was using, in which there was blood in the trunk.
