“What did you do to our brother?”

The trial of the murder case of Graikos continued in the Mixed Jury Court of Thessaloniki with important testimonies of witnesses.

The medical examiner and technical advisor of the accused, Aikaterini Apostolidou, claimed that the death of Dimitris Graikos came from heart attack. She justified the fractures on the right side of the chest, from the fall of the accused on him.

The director of the veterinary service, Stefanos Moraitis, presented to the court documents of fine checks and claimed that the accused had committed a number of violations regarding the breeding of his animals. According to him, the fines imposed on him exceeded 40,000 euros.

Emotionally charged, the brothers of the unfortunate businessman addressed the accused:

“What did you do to our brother, where is our man?”

The medical examiner – expert Eleni Zaggelidou, stated with certainty that the victim suffered fractures while he was alive. She testified that the body had a fracture in the left cheekbone, a serious injury in the same place, a fracture in the sternum and an hematoma in the chest.

According to Ms. Zaggelidou, the body of the 46-year-old suffered “excessive violence with a blunt object”.

Asked by the defense whether these injuries could have been caused by the fall of the accused on the victim, the medical examiner replied:

“Only if he took a turn from two hundred meters and fell on him, he could have killed him.”

She also noted that a sharp object was used by the accused as “it could not have caused such serious fractures only with fists”.

The trial will continue on October 8 with the apology of the accused.
