The “Tunnel” found him buried at the unclaimed in Marmari, Evia. There was not a cross or a small sign indicating that below the flat earth point there was a human.
Leonidas Batsios, 55, was found on February 11 by a fisherman at Fygia beach, three kilometers from the port of Marmari, Evia. He had to be in the sea for a month and the currents might carried his body from Porto Rafti or Nea Makri.
The fisherman alerted the Karystos Port Authority which collected the corpse. The next day he was transferred to the Laboratory of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology of the University of Athens for autopsy – necrotomy and then the adventure began.
No one thought to check whether the corpse belonged to a missing man from the Attica region. The “Tunnel” tied the pieces of the macabre puzzle, informed the family, turned on the lights, and re-identified the “unknown”.
“If it wasn’t for the Tunnel, we’d never find him…”
With the intervention of the “Tunnel”, an identification was made to an unknown body, which had been buried in Karystos and turned out to be Leonidas Batsios!
A few hours after announcing the unpleasant development in the unfortunate businessman’s thriller, “Tunnel” led his relatives to Karystos to find the answers to the confusion that was caused.
“Luckily for us that the show took place and Mrs. Nikolouli informed us about the body that was found. With her insistence that the services check and compare the DNA, the answers were given, otherwise we would never find him,” the victim’s uncle and longtime friend told the Tunnel.
“Unfortunately, we were confirmed for this fact. The situation is difficult, but we’re going to fight it. He would never end his life, someone hurt him and threw him in the sea,” his brother said.
His uncle’s talking about a crime…
“They could put a wooden cross here to show that underneath there is a man,” the unlucky Batsios’ uncle said above his grave at the unclaimed.
“We will wait for the coroner’s results and then do what we have to do. We believe it is a criminal act and he was thrown into the water,” his uncle continued at an emotional state.

“I saw something from far away and we immediately alerted the Port Authority. The currents and the weather are erratic, you can’t calculate them. Maybe the body was there ten, even twenty days earlier. Something has probably been done from the other side…” the witness said.
